business partners within their supply chains.

SHOWA is committed to improving working conditions, engaging with stakeholders and endorsing the

BSCI Code of Conduct and Appendices. We believe that compliance with local regulations and core social

standards defined by international organisations for labour and human rights is an opportunity for further

improving the working conditions in our integrated supply chain.

COMMITTED TO SAFE MANUFACTURING REACH is a regulation of the

European Union, adopted

to improve the protection

of human health and the

environment from the

risks that can be posed by

chemicals, while enhancing the competitiveness of

the EU chemicals industry. It also promotes alternative

methods for the hazard assessment of substances in

order to reduce the number of tests on animals.

REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation,

Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals.

REACH establishes procedures for collecting and

assessing information on the properties and hazards

of substances. SHOWA s whole manufacturing process

is in line with the requirements of the European

REACH Regulation. All SHOWA products today and

in the future will remain free from substances of very

high concern (SVHC).
